GranolaMommy is a place for moms to find parenting information from other real moms. It doesn't matter if you're super-cruchy, or jell-o, all moms are welcome here. We have information for everything from pregnancy and childbirth to homeschooling, and hopefully an interesting range of everything in-between.

GranolaMommy was inspired by the popular "Granola Factor" quiz. Many of the topics here are from questions on that quiz. And in my experience as a mom, those are the very topics that it's difficult to find great information about. And who better to supply that information than real moms?

So here's what you'll find at GranolaMommy:

• Links to news feeds from other web sites
• Articles and stories contributed by members of this site talking about real experiences and parenting lessons learned.
• Other popular community features like blogs and forums.

What you won't find here, is an entire site based on my own opinions, whatever those may be. When I became a mother, I noticed there was no shortage of advice from medical experts. I also found that there was no shortage of web sites with very definite agendas, and very little in the way of objective views. Many parenting issues are quite controversial. But my opinion is, there are no "right" and "wrong" answers. The only right decisions are those that are best for the health and happiness of your family.

So welcome! I hope you enjoy yourself here and come away with some useful information. And if you have some wisdom that you'd like to share with other moms, then you've certainly come to the right place.
